Iona Fortune
is a burlesque dancer and art historian and has been performing for the last 7 years. She is interested in the intersection between burlesque, costuming, culture and history. She holds a BA in Art History and a BA in Anthropology with a minor in Classical Studies from Iowa State University.
Since 2021, she’s been researching and writing about the history of burlesque in Nebraska, shedding light on Nebraska burlesque history by publishing articles on her blog, producing burlesque shows, and creating “zines.”
